Summer 2010 Ends

The Summer 2010 season is wrapped and the final games were played last night. It was n real rollercoaster ride for Team NikeFIVE and dissapointing to say the least... with a bit of a miss-match concerning the top teams in the first league.

The standing were as follows: Warrior Legends took first place, silver to Cracker Allstars and bronze to the Kingsmen. DHL barbarians were unlucky to end in fourth place after a great season and ending in second after the round robbin matches. Team NikeFIVE came up in 5 place after trampling The Saints in the 5th and 6th place play-offs.

Thanks to all the players that were commited throughout the season, and well done on a great effort throughout the season. Next time will def see a more competitive league, since management at in2touch acknowleged their mistake at placing Super League teams in the first division.

During the Winter season starting in 2 weeks time, some of the players of Team NikeFIVE will join forces with the boys from DHL to help build on their winning culture and to learn a bit more... and to hopefully bring back some of that knowledge when NikeFIVE reassembles again!

Congrats to James Pieters for ending the season as top try-scorer, bagging 13 tries during the season. Guy Lipschitz came in at a close second place with 12 tries, and if he played in the final game of the season, the score card might have looked much different.

Jak, jy moet nog jou broekie gaan was met bietjie omo na daai duik van jou gisteraand. Eks seker hy is vuil.

Lastly, thanks to Jannie Visser and Emile Spamer for also helping out during the season. We greatly appreciate it and look forward to playing with you again!
