NikeFIVE vs Kingmen - 1 March 2010 (L) 2-1

Monday night was another extremely tough night at the office for Team NikeFIVE. We played against the Kingsmen, a team with years of experience and which consists of most of the Buccaneers players.

Last year, Kingsmen won all their games in the first league comfortably, only to lose against the Saints in the final...

However, Monday night show cased the unbelievable strides that Team NikeFIVE has made over the past 3 seasons. With formidable defence, Team NikeFIVE kept the scoreline very low, and half time neither of the teams managed to cross the white-wash. Kingsmen managed to score two very lucky tries in the second half, where Team NikeFIVE was once again denied what should have been (and actually was) three tries. Team NikeFIVE's strong point on attack is their ability to play the game VERY fast, and this, in the end did reap the benefits, except for the fact that the ref blew the penalty wrong. Instead of allowing the player to take the quick ball alone as the rules clearly states, the ref kept calling our players back to take the tap again.

Despite this, Team NikeFIVE played some brilliant footy and was unlucky not to win.

Next week, Team NikeFIVE will once again play the Kinsmen, and the score board might just hold a suprize for all our supporters!
