On 28 December 2009 some members of Team NikeFIVE were spotted keeping fit and their ball skills sharp at the annual Kleinbrak Touchies. Guy Lipshitz, Cornel de Jongh and James Pieters strutted their stuff against formidable opponents on the Kleinbrak beachfront. The Team NikeFive members superior skills and speed meant they cleaned the opposition field to fly into the finals by scores of 6-0 and 5-0 respectively in the knock-out matches. The final was a tight affair against a bunch of blou bulle, and the match had to go into extra time with a 2-2 scoreline. Despite this, Team Nikefive pocket rocket, Guy Lipschitz, decided to step up and kick some WP sand into the eyes of a bull... he took an impressive pass, ran the gradient down the beach towards the waters edge and dived in the corner for the Golden Try!!
Congrats to the above mentioned boys on their impressive performance and extreme fitness levels that was maintained throughout the festive season!! Furthermore, congrats to Cornel for winning another fight against a blou bul on our home soil (or sand) and lastly, congrats to these members of Team NikeFIVE for sending an early message to opposition for the season to come and winning the prestigious annual Kleinbrak Touchies Tournament and the five cases of beer in winnings!!!
