NikeFive vs The Saints - 15 March 2010 (w) 10-7

Last night our old nemises The Saints made an attempt at out witting Team NikeFIVE, but were stopped in their tracks. The game started at a frantic pace as The Saints opened the scoring account with two quick tries in the starting minutes. Despite this, Team NikeFIVE's new recruite and paceman, Tiaan Coetzee, opened his account by scoring the first try in style. At full pace he took a gap and proceeded to side-step "the dude with the white geplakte hare" to cross over the line. The half time score was a mere 4-3 to The Saints, but Team NikeFIVE never felt for a moment that the game would be lost.


As the second half came, you could see a change in the NikeFIVE outfit and the boys came out with guns blazing!! Tiaan went on to score some unbelievable tries, and so did James, Jaco DT and Guy... however,  special mention must be made to Cornel who went on to up the gear and score 3 sensational high paced tries, outstripping "puma kuit" twice before crossing the white wash.


The end result was 10-7... oechacha!!!!!!


Congrats to all the boys from Team NikeFIVE.
It was a great win and showcased the strides that our team has made over the last season. Next week we will take on the much improved DHL Barbarians outfit captained by Emile Spammer in a not-so-friendly battle for bragging rights and a beer...
