Its never been an easy task to take on the DHL Barbarians, with the men in yellow and black hosting players such as Emile Spammer, Fernando and that "Toit" bloke. Even more so, this season they have gained the services of some new super-league players due to their successfull recruitement program. Furthermore, with their new strenth and conditioning coach and great experience on the pitch, they will be relentless on attack and defence.
Despite all the hype that has been surrounding the DHL Barbarians side, Team NikeFIVE still remains the log leaders thus far in the season with a 100% win record under the belt in the First League. Yesterday saw Team NikeFIVE practising at their Headquaters in Kenridge with some quite confendence surrounding the team and an atmosphere of hunger for the game. Several players from Team NikeFIVE were interviewed at training, however, the only remark that stood out was that of new pretty boy recruite Marnus Fick who stated, "Everybody thinks we should have moustaches and hairy arses, but in fact you could put us all on the cover of Vogue...". After this statement, the intensity in the camp just picked up again, as most of the players would rather do the talking on the footy- pitch, than to make uttering such as that next to the field...
Come Monday night, it will all be war.
